The Schedule:

Participants will arrive at the campsite in Walton, NY on Monday morning and the adventure will end on Thursday afternoon.  Parents/Guardians will need to pick up or drop off their child on each leg of the trip.

The Campsite:

The property, which has been used by other trips organized by Mountain Goat Movement, is an old school house grounds that has been converted into a beautiful, spacious outdoor escape. The property features a main house complete with a kitchen and a few rooms, a bunkhouse, a lean-to, as well as ample space for camping.

Meals:

Meals will be cooked on site since there is access to a kitchen with a stove and oven plus an outdoor BBQ grill as well.

Activities:

So much to choose from!  This will be a fun, relaxing week but still with plenty of stuff to do focusing on time away from screens in the form of glamorous camping.  There will be hiking and swimming on most days.  There will be plenty of active games to play ranging from frisbee throwing, spikeball, kanjam, disc golf, cornhole, and several more.  There also will be plenty of time for less active games such as card playing, story telling, and just hanging out together.

COVID Safety:

Safety protocols will continue to be enforced including social distance measures, no sharing of food, proper sanitization enforced, etc.  Most of the day will be spent on an outdoor adventure.

The Staff:

Mr. Greg Morrissey is a mountain guide, seasoned high school teacher and coach, and a wilderness first responder. He is a member of the prominent Explorers Club of New York City and has guided hundreds of high school students on outdoor excursions all over the world (Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Peru, Costa Rica, and many more). In 2017, he received recognition by the American Alpine Club and North Face for his work with students in the great Outdoors.

Mr. Ryan Belline is seasoned middle school teacher and high school coach with CPR, First Aid, and extensive Safe Sport training.  During the summer, he has held many unit director jobs at multiple day and sleep away camps.  He has led sports trips and educational trips all over the United States to places such as Florida, Tennessee, Minnesota and been a part of youth trips to Spain, France, and even into Africa.

This trip is limited to (12) participants.
