Introduction to Mountaineering Grand Teton National Park Jackson, Wyoming

Objective: In addition to completing challenging hikes in Grand Teton National Park, participants will complete a 4-day Intro to Mountaineering School, culminating with an ascent of The Grand Teton -- the premier climbing mountain for anyone interested in mountaineering, and for many, the most beautiful mountain in the lower 48.

Dates: June 24 - July 2

Chaperones: Mr. Morrissey has guided trips in Jackson, WY and surrounding areas for two summers. He has been to Jackson four times and has climbed most of the Teton Range, including The Grand. The Mountaineering School will be led by Exum Mountain Guides. Mr. Morrissey has climbed with one of the guides in the past and is very familiar with this highly reputable organization. There will be 1 professional climber/guide for every two students.

Requirements: You need to be in very strong shape to attempt this trip. You do not need technical skills to attempt The Grand-- these skills will be taught and developed in our customized Mountaineering School with Exum Mountain Guides. Exum has led participants of all ages and backgrounds on a trip like this, including high school groups.

Price per participant: $2,725 and includes:

Not Included:

Participants should bring money for dinners should we venture to town for any meals. Participants will need a 35 or 40 Liter backpack in addition to a 4-season sleeping bag. You may rent these items if you need, however, they will be out of pocket expenses.
